What is Christmas Glow in the Country?

It is a 2km lit-up Christmas drive-thru experience. Come take a leisurely drive through the 2 kilometer route in the comfort of your vehicle, tune your radio to our Christmas Glow station and enjoy the festive displays and goodies.

How does it work?

Reserve your spot in advance here and pick your day and time slot. Other than that, just load up your vehicle and show up at the right date/time and we’ll direct you from there.

When is it?

Fundraising Meal & Drive-Thru Light Experience: December 4-7 from 5:00-6:30 PM

Drive-Thru Light Experience: December 8-17 from 5:30-8:30 PM

What is the meal for the December 4-7 drive-thru?

The meal is teriyaki chicken, herb mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, apple-slaw, and cheesecake for dessert!

What ages is it for?

It’s great for all ages - we recommend you bring your kids, grandparents, significant other, etc.!

How do I get there?

We are located at the Winkler Bible Camp site, so you can search for Winkler Bible Camp in your favourite GPS app, or type in 16037 Hwy 3, Stanley MB to find us.

Is there food involved?

December 4-7 we will be running the drive-thru light experience in conjunction with a fundraising meal. December 8-17 we will be running only the drive-thru light experience.

Are there snacks?

We will be serving hot apple cider or juice boxes for the kids and candy canes, at no additional cost. 

Do we go outside?

No, the entire experience will be enjoyed from the comfort of your vehicle.

How long does it take?

While it depends on the amount of traffic ahead of you, plan for 30-45 minutes in the drive-thru.

Are there bathrooms available?

Yes, we have porta potties available for those bathroom emergencies. They are located at the beginning and the end of the route.

What is all there? What’s there to do?

This event is a drive-thru experience, so you stay in your car the whole time. We have dozens of lit up scenes for you to enjoy as you drive, and a few snacks we hand out along the way.

Can I get out of my vehicle to take photos?

No. For your safety and to help ensure a positive experience for everyone involved, we ask that you stay inside your vehicle at all times.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself, your favourite people to enjoy the lights with and money to pay for your ticket.

Can I meet up with friends at the event to ride together.

No. Due to the high volume of traffic and lack of parking space at the beginning, you will need to arrive in the same vehicle with those you wish to experience the drive-thru with.

What type of vehicle is allowed?

Cars, trucks and vans, no buses. 

Who runs this event?

This event is operated by Winkler Bible Camp staff and all proceeds go toward continuing the ministry of Winkler Bible Camp. For more information about the camp visit winklerbiblecamp.com.

Can I donate to Winkler Bible Camp?

Yes, we greatly appreciate your donations above the regular admission fee. Cheques can be made payable to Winkler Bible Camp. Donations above $20.00 and submitted with your personal information will be receipted at the end of the year.

What do I tune my radio to for the music?

We’re broadcasting at 103.7 FM.

How do I get a ticket?

Tickets may be reserved in advance for a specific day and time here.

Do I need to print my ticket?

Yes, please be prepared to show your ticket - printed or on your phone - when you arrive.

Can I reserve more than one spot?

Yes, you may reserve for multiple vehicles with one reservation. One ticket per vehicle.

Can I arrive early?

The time slots are to help us control the traffic flow off the highway, so please ensure you arrive during your scheduled time only.

What if I arrive late?

The time slots are to help us control the traffic flow off the highway, so please do your best to arrive during your scheduled time. If you arrive late you will not be turned away, as long as it’s prior to the final entry time of 8:30 PM.

Can I show up without reserving in advance?

No, all guests must reserve in advance. This helps us ensure everyone's safety entering our site and getting off the highway. If you are having issues please contact us at 204-325-9519 and we will be happy to assist you to reserve your spot.

Can I come more than once?

Yes, in fact we encourage that! Just make a reservation for each individual visit.

How can I pay?

We accept debit and credit cards, but strongly recommend paying with cash or cheque, as it’s easier to do in the cold weather.

How can I change or cancel my reservation once I’ve made it online? Can I change my ticket date?

If you’d like to change or cancel your reservation and you have an eventbrite account, you can make changes yourself online. If you do not have an account, please contact our office at info@winklerbiblecamp.com or 204-325-9519 and we’ll be happy to help you. 

Thank you for releasing your unneeded reservations so we can allow other guests to attend.

Can I pay for my ticket online?

No, we will be taking all payments on site during your visit.
